I initially contacted Helen for daycare for my nearly 3 year old Husky Caesar, as I thought he would benefit from socialisation and supervised play due to his large size and not being to play off lead, Helen was recommended to me from another Husky owner. Caesar absolutely loves going to Helens, either when I am work in the office or just for a 'play date', he's made loads of friends and plays nicely, he's also leant a lot about how to play and when another dog might not want to and he has really calmed down around other dogs when out on walks. Caesar has also boarded with Helen, he settled really quickly and is very happy there. He's booked in again soon. Recently I engaged Helen for some training, Caesar is very wary of change and not keen on any sort of 'messing with' which includes normal run of the mill stuff like clearing sleep from his eyes, checking his mouth, putting drops in his ears. We tried to get him titre tested in November twice but he flat out refused and was petrified of the vets and the razor. After only one session with Helen and some practice afterwards he came on leaps and bounds and after 2 sessions we can now hold his leg and shave his fur, pretend to draw blood, and look in his ears, or pretend to drop eardrops. he is much calmer when being touched and with practice I am confident we can get past most of his 'messing' anxiety. Helens training has been an absolute revelation to help us overcome this issue as we were always concerned about him attending vets, even for simple things as he can use his strength to get away or refuse to cooperate. Once we are past the titre test (booked for next week) we will work on other things to keep Caesar fully engaged with the clicker and the magic sausages! I cannot recommend Helen's services highly enough, incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to the wellbeing of our animals.

Found Helen after I was looking for a local one to one dog trainer to help with puppy reactivity issues. We had been to puppy classes a few months ago but found it was too general for us. It was great that Helen was able to see how our dog reacted indoors and outdoors and gave us great advice, tools and video training guides to help us through our weekly sessions. I am now far more confident that in time our puppy will overcome her reactivity and be calmer, the training is already making a difference thanks to Helen and would highly recommend her services. Nessie loved Helen instantly and wanted to jump all over her. As this was one of the areas for improvement Helen was able to show us what to do to cure her excited nature a little and gave us good steps to take for calming her in most situations. The clicker training was a game changer for me and Nessie on our daily walks she's so much easier to manage. There's still work to do with her, but I feel much more confident thanks to Helen's tuition. I would highly recommend her to anyone struggling with strong, enthusiastic dogs!

What can I say! Helen has trained Harper since being 12 weeks old, Harper has made amazing progress with Helen, she is so patient and kind. We also use Helen for daycare and boarding, We’ve just come back recently from a 5 week holiday this summer, Helen was truly amazing!! We received pictures at the end and of every day of Harper having so much fun, she has made some lovely friends and charges at Helen full force in a morning when she goes in, she’s so excited to go 😂 Thank you Helen for loving and caring for Harper as much as we do. You simply are the best and we couldn’t ever imagine leaving Harper with anyone else but you. Thank you The Rye family 🐾

Helen was excellent throughout the programme. We can't recommend her enough. As first time dog owners we really want to get it right and Helen was super reassuring, knowledgeable and friendly. Her methods are exactly what we want to do with our dog - reward the good, help the dog to know what we want and help him communicate with us. We went through some general obedience training but some specific issues we were having with our dog (he is a greedy so and so 😂) and Helen gave us achievable and positive strategies for helping to calm meal times and evenings. She is hugely knowledgeable on nutrition too and her follow up emails are full of useful videos and links. She is a warm and friendly person and we felt comfortable with her straight away. Really wonderful experience, thank you!
