I booked a taxi in advance to take me from Lichfield to East Midlands airport at 2am and was quoted £65. I paid a deposit in advance of £10 but didn't get confirmation it had been received so I had to email and ask. When the driver arrived he thought I was going to Birmingham airport and had me look up the postcode for EMA. The entire journey he complained that he never would've taken the job if he'd known it was EMA and that he had been lied to about the job. He told me I had to do navigation as he'd never driven to this airport before. Once we arrived at the airport he tried to get me to pay for parking on top of the £65 so I got dropped off in a bus lane outside of the airport by myself in the dark. Final total from Lichfield to EMA was £65.50 because I got charged for using the card reader. The driver was clearly annoyed the entire ride and said he'd be getting money back off this job because he was lied to. I felt a bit uncomfortable because it felt like it was my fault and I was on my own.
