We were delighted with Emily’s planting of our large border. We discussed our wishes with Emily; she listened and made suggestions and the result is just what we want. Emily is friendly, punctual and reliable. We’re looking forward to seeing the newly planted bed come to life.

We met Emily of Arcadia Garden Design at a local garden show. She talked through the service she provided and we outlined our thoughts for our garden. We booked an initial consultation visit where she discussed what we planned for our garden and how she thought she could help this to become a reality. Following the initial visit we decided to proceed with a planting programme. The costs and timescales were thoroughly explained to us and confirmed in writing. Emily came up with a comprehensive design taking into consideration our requests and combined with her own experienced input. Once these had been viewed and any alterations agreed, the plan was implemented. Emily spent about 1.5 days working hard to plant the plants she had ordered. We also used our own landscaper to do some preparation prior to planting. Emily worked closely with us to ensure our requirements were met and throughout provided a professional, communicative service. We looked forward to seeing the outcome of her hard work. From our experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending her to others looking for a well-informed and comprehensive garden design service.

On contacting Emily she immediately showed an interest & listened carefully to our concerns regarding our garden. She understood our desire to reduce the time maintaining it & the need to bring some order to it. Emily is very professional & a knowledgeable plants person. She came back quickly to us with a design which addressed our needs. The design also ensured that a majority of our plants & shrubs could still be used, which was wonderful & kept the project on budget. We are very happy with result & thank her & Nigel Hunter landscaping team for a lovely looking garden, which we are excited to watch develop over the forthcoming seasons & throughout the coming years.

We asked Emily to redesign our small walled garden in Lewes which was overgrown and did not meet our needs. We were not really sure what we wanted but she came up with a design that absolutely works for us and has transformed the space. Friends and family cannot believe the difference and, in particular, how Emily has created a garden that is in harmony with the exterior of our old property. She has been totally professional at every stage and always extremely thoughtful and helpful, particularly considering the fact that the hard landscaping took longer than was expected and she had to adjust her timings and therefore her schedule to fit in with our builders. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

I was struggling to find a creative way of transforming the patio and pebbled area that is my garden into something that is not only greener but that also has interest and greater privacy. Emily saw lots of possibilities and had lots of ideas. Where I saw problems she was quick to come up with solutions. She gave me time to think through options and to make decisions. I now have a design from her that I am really pleased with and I eagerly await for the landscape work to be done. I would confidently recommend Arcadia Garden Design to others as Emily is not only skilled in her work but also approaches it in a professional manner.
