Gordon Comrie1 StarPoor communication and lies, ordered a corolla on motab. All was going well and was expecting car within days, got call to say it had been cancelled and was told some story about the model being pulled for facelift and Toyota weren’t making more etc. done a bit of research only to find that toyota had pulled the plug on Arnold Clark. Why the salesman couldn’t just have been honest and told me I don’t know! Went to an independent dealer and was sorted within hours. Will never use Arnold Clark again.Sunday 12th June 2022
Scott Jenkins (Exbeatlescott)1 StarBought a car from here 10 months ago the car went for it's mot on June the 9th (not at this garage) and I got told there was something wrong with the brakes and the hand brake and it would cost £193 just to investigate the problem then another phone call to say the brakes and other parts would have to be stripped down for more investigation at the cost of £420 . In less than 10 months I've done less than 10,000 miles ( the car has only done 60,000 miles) so I phoned this branch of Arnold Clark and got transferred to customer service. The person I spoke to asked what the problem was I explained everything to him and he said did you report any thing within 60 days I said no because everything seemed ok after only 2 month so he said you bought the car on the 16 of Aug and we had the mot done on the 6th of August and I said did you? so why am I getting the mot done on the 9th of June? He said that's up to you if you do the mot early and I said early! The government dvla web site said it was to be done on the date June the 7th so the guy at the customer service was lying and he made out he made a mistake and he would still do nothing to help. There must have been an advisory on the brakes and the tyres and they done nothing and waited for a mug like me to buy the car.Monday 13th June 2022
