Tom Waltham1 StarAVOID! Initially slow to respond to requests for an appointment and this should've acted as a warning sign. However, the Google reviews looked good so I thought we'd give him a go.
Came over to diagnose why my car won't start. Plugged in his laptop and after a long time came to the conclusion that the starter motor needs replacing. However, wouldn't be able to fit the work in for at least 10 days or so and would contact us with a price for the work. So £75 for less than an hour's work which for me is expensive for the 'service' we experienced.
And after that? Radio silence. Have sent messages asking for a price and if the work can be done to get nothing in return. I find it rude to be honest. If you don't want to do the work, be upfront and don't waste my time or yours. These messages were sent on WhatsApp and you can clearly see he's been online but has chosen not to reply.
In conclusion, quite happy to come over and charge you an expensive call out fee for very little in return. I'd recommend using someone else.Tuesday 27th April 2021
