First time ever going into Barclays, they aren't my usual bank but I was opening a new account with them. I was advised I could do this on the app. Great, I proceeded to create an account via the app. As expected verification was needed and I needed to go into the Barclays Stirling site with ONE form of ID and ONE form of verification for my address, as per the App statement. Sarah, the bank teller claimed I was wrong as needed two forms of ID and she couldn't help me at all, without both my passport and drivers license, after standing my ground and stating your app said I only needed one and was offering to show what the app said. She said 'I'm trying to help you'.  Well Sarah, if your only trying to help me get your information correct first, before trying to send me away with misinformation and a 1hr round trip to get a document I didn't require. Fortunately Laura, Branch Manager was on hand and within 4hours I received a call to say my account had been verified.  If I was stuck with Sarah serving me I would not be willing to continue any business with Barclay. Not a great first impression but recovered well.

If I could give the the Stirling branch zero stars I would. ESPECIALLY to the gentleman "welcoming" customers. A poor customer service attitude, very unhelpful and unsure on how to properly express himself in the English language. As far as I know you try and help a customer of your bank and not try your best to ruin their day by not providing helpful advice and just repeat the same dumb thing over and over and just turn your back to them and resume your place back on the chair. Thanks so much Barclays for employing such individuals. This was honestly the last straw. I have started the switch on my Barclays account.
