In recent years, there has been a surge of interest in indie beauty brands, which offer unique and personalized products that stand out from mainstream options. This trend has also extended to the world of nails, with more and more people seeking out indie nail polish brands and DIY nail art techniques to express their creativity and individuality. In this article, we’ll explore the world of indie nails and why it’s becoming a popular trend in 2023

Ombré Nails

Ombré nails have been a favourite of nail enthusiasts for several years now, and they are set to remain popular in 2023. This style involves blending two or more colours on each nail, creating a gradient effect. The transition can be subtle or dramatic, depending on the chosen colours and technique.

To achieve this look, you can use a sponge or a brush to apply the colours onto the nails. You can also use gel or dip powder for a longer-lasting result. Popular colour combinations for ombré nails include pink and white, blue and purple, and red and black.

Velvet Nails

Are you looking for a new nail trend that will make your hands stand out? Look no further than velvet nails. This luxurious and textured style is perfect for adding an extra touch of elegance and sophistication to your overall look.

Indie Nails

Indie nails refer to the use of small, independent nail polish brands or DIY nail art techniques to create personalized and creative nail looks. These brands and techniques often offer a wider range of colors, finishes, and textures than mainstream options, as well as unique packaging and branding that reflects their independent spirit.

Colour Block French Manicure: Elevate Your Nail Game with this Modern Twist on a Classic Look

If you’re tired of the traditional French manicure, why not try the Colour Block French Manicure? This modern twist on a classic look is the perfect way to elevate your nail game and add a pop of color to your fingertips.

What is a Colour Block French Manicure?

A Colour Block French Manicure is a nail design that combines the classic French manicure with a bold block of color. Instead of the traditional white tip, the nail is painted with a vibrant hue, usually in a rectangular shape that contrasts with the rest of the nail. This creates a playful and modern look that is perfect for any occasion.

Abstract Organic Shapes

Abstract organic shapes have been inspiring artists across various fields, including fashion and beauty. One of the most recent examples of this can be seen in the world of nail art, where abstract organic shapes are being used to create stunning and unique nail designs.

Unique French Manicures

French manicures have been a classic style for decades, with their signature white tips and neutral base color. However, recently, a new trend has emerged: unique French manicures. These updated versions of the classic manicure allow for more creativity and personalization while still maintaining the chic and sophisticated look of a French manicure.

What are Marble Nails?

Marble nails are a type of nail art that mimics the beautiful patterns of natural marble. They are created by using a special nail polish technique that involves swirling together different shades of nail polish to create a marbled effect. Marble nails can be done in a variety of colors, but the most popular shades are usually white and black, which gives the nails a classic and timeless look.

How to Create Marble Nails?

Creating marble nails is surprisingly easy, and you don’t need to be a professional nail artist to achieve this look. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create marble nails at home.

Step 1: Prep Your Nails Start by prepping your nails as you would for any other manicure. File your nails to your desired shape, push back your cuticles, and apply a base coat.

Step 2: Choose Your Colors Select two or three nail polish colors that you want to use for your marble nails. Typically, white is used as the base color, and a darker shade is used for the marbling effect.

Step 3: Apply the Base Coat Apply a layer of white nail polish as the base coat and let it dry completely.

Step 4: Add Drops of Nail Polish. Take your darker nail polish and add a few drops onto a piece of paper or a plastic lid. Use a toothpick or a thin brush to swirl the colors together, creating a marbled effect.

Step 5: Apply the Marbled Effect Dip your nail into the marbled nail polish, or use the toothpick to create the marbled effect on your nails. Repeat this process on all your nails.

Step 6: Finish with a Topcoat After the marbled effect has dried completely, apply a clear topcoat to seal in the colors and give your nails a glossy finish.

Tips for Creating Marble Nails

In conclusion, marble nails are a beautiful and trendy way to add some sophistication to your nails. With a little practice and creativity, you can create a variety of unique and stunning marble nail designs that will have everyone asking where you got your nails done.

Hands down the prettiest shop around. They have done an amazing job with the decor, this shop has really set the bar high for anyone wanting to open a nail/beauty salon. The staff here are amazing, I took my 4 year old daughter to get her nails painted and she loved it. She came out feeling like a fairy princess.

I got my first professional Brazilian wax today, and will never attempt to wax myself ever again haha Catalonia was so lovely and professional, I felt so safe comfortable from start to finish. The pain was minimal as she'd gently press down on the skin after each wax which was very soothing. I was so pleased to know that the wax included the back area as well ! I left with a tidy triangle and feeling super soft and hair free everywhere else. I'll be making this a monthly treat going forward :)

I got my sugar wax at this shop and it was amazing! The lady who did my wax insured that I felt comfortable and explained every step of what she was doing before doing it. Prior to doing the wax, she checked with me my past medical history and insured I did not have any allergies before proceedings. She was very professional but friendly. I had very minimal pain during the wax and I was also given clear instructions on what to do/not to post having the wax.I also did not get any bumps after the wax. I had a great experience and will be going back!
