Review of Beyond the Borders Garden Design, Alton, Hampshire. Excellent design work at a fair price. Aylwin is very approachable and knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping. Our brief had several constraints including an old concrete rainwater collection system, various different levels, and plants to conserve . Aylwin took on board our requirements and produced a design using clay pavers which managed to draw everything together and complement the garden and house.

Aylwin created a beautiful, dreamy cottage garden for us and we can’t thank him enough - it’s like a scaled-up version of a Chelsea Garden Show display. We’re so proud of it and everyone loves it. His knowledge of design (and plants, colour, and what plants would thrive) and what suits and looks high-end is outstanding. Without wishing to sound transactional it’s made such a difference to our house value too. He took everything we asked for on-board and worked with us on details when we wanted it. He also did necessary communication/ diplomacy with our neighbours! Aylwin is total design star and we’re so grateful to him for working for us.

Aylwin is a master designer, sympathetic to the customers ideas whilst able to give real depth to themes and exploit his amazing horticultural knowledge. We now have a ‘wow’ design for our cottage garden which we can’t wait to see develop into reality under Aylwin’s wand. 5 stars indeed
