Blanchard Fire and Security

We will work with you to provide the most appropriate installation for your needs. Whether the answer is closed-circuit television (CCTV), entry systems, smoke and fire detection, intruder alarms or some combination, we can advise, design, instal and maintain the entire system.

With Gold approval from the National Security Inspectorate - you can be confident of a professional job from the start with all aspects of the work and of the installation being carried out in security.

Industrial and Domestic

We can provide solutions for all closed-circuit television needs. We install excellent access control systems.

Blanchard Fire & Security can supply and fit a wide range of emergency lighting to supply essential illumination in the event of an emergency.

Blanchard Fire and Security can undertake the design, installation, certification and continuous maintenance of your fire alarm systems for small and large installations alike.

Last but not least, we install and maintain burglar alarms and other intruder detection systems.

Home warning systems that are set off by the toaster? Not necessarily - a heat detector costs as little as a good smoke alarm and will avoid that annoyance. And did you know link alarms wirelessly - when the kitchen sensor goes off the upstairs bedroom alarm can sound. Find out more here...

Always helpful, if you can't find what your looking for, ask and if they have they go straight to it. Nothing is to much trouble.

Brilliant shop, they have a really extensive range of goods and often at better prices than online, without the postage cost. Why go elsewhere?

WARNING: this is a terrible shop to browse if you have the tendancy to impulse buy... I love it! Friendly staff, very well stocked with everything you would want for day-to-day maintenance; from cleaning and painting to woodworking. Was also surprised to find that the power tools were very competitively priced. If you need anything just ask, they are very helpful.

One of my favourite shops in Bideford. It is really Tardis-like* and they have a very good range of well, pretty much everything house/garden related, the staff are helpful (one of those places where you say "you know a thing that does this and it's blue or red, don't know what it's called" and they usually say oh, a thingummy, we've got two types, and zoom straight to it). I think there was a single occasion when they didn't have exactly what I wanted and they seemed as disappointed as me (and were happy to get one in - it was a specific type of spatula). Apart from the range of things you need, the things you don't need but are absolutely fascinating to look at, and the service, I would also add that the plants sold out the front are usually very good quality and very good value and we always keep an eye out for new ones arriving. This is the kind of shop town centres need and I am leaving a review because I'd like to see them there for many years to come! * By Tardis-like I mean you can't see from the outside just how big it is. I don't think it travels to other dimensions in space and time but you never know especially in Bideford, and they probably have sonic screwdrivers out the back next to the ironing board covers. It's that kind of place. I think it's safest not to ask just in case they say "step this way" and I find myself on the outer reaches of the solar system. It's hard enough getting a bus to Barnstaple let alone working out whether a Stage Coach Day Rider ticket covers Pluto.
