We renovated a remote barn in 2019 and wanted a top quality security system installed to include CCTV (with an alert function )and a vehicle number plate recognition camera . We researched the market and received half hearted /incomplete responses and quotes from various companies until we approached Broadsword , when one of their team called and did a full survey and gave us a comprehensive and detailed quote which we accepted . Installation was done respectfully and professionally - fortunately most of the building had been gutted so they were able to hide 90% of cables . We ended up with 8 cctv cameras , room motion sensors ( including pet friendly sensors ) and door sensors . The system was calibrated so that we could set the alarm in four different formats ( all, night , pets , and doors only ) . We were even able to link outdoor security lights to the alarm so that in the event of an alarm breach , the outdoor light come on and stay on until the system is turned off . The alarm system and the CCTV can be monitored and controlled remotely This whole system works perfectly for us . We had a few teething issues on the CCTV alert system and with the vehicle number plate recognition camera , but Broadsword responded immediately, with their technicians attending the property more often than not on the same day . The owners of the company were very much hands-on and made sure that any issues were resolved quickly . Their technicians are knowledgeable and professional and turned up on time without fail .
