We are a family run business founded in 2007 and based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The company was initially established as a Saab Specialist. Later on, with the increased demand from our customers to look after their non-Saab-branded cars, the expansion of the business came along as a natural progression for us. Our mission is to keep the good reputation we have built through the years and continue to expand our base of happy and returning customers. All these changes would not have been possible without our valued customers, our passion for cars and focus on providing friendly yet professional customer service. And if you want your car to be a bit different, at Cartech Welwyn we provide remapping services on both diesel and petrol cars. Our tuning software is very high quality and we offer lifetime warranty against software malfunctions. We are authorised agents for Racingline Tuning and parts (VAG Group tuning) and Avon Tuning (almost any make and model). We guarantee that with us you will get the job done on your vehicle to the highest standard and in timely manner. This is truly truly a good garage, my long love affair with SAAB cars was coming to end, fed-up with insincere and money grabbing garages, when by sheer luck I came across online Cartech Welwyn. Although they're about 30 miles (one-way) away from me, I decided to try them. I've never regretted it, awesome team, always good money-saving advices and suggestions.

They also do MINI's you know! After years of taking my wife's SAAB 93 Cabriolet to Ian for service I noticed he has diversified into MINITech. Not only standard services but because of his association with Avon Tuning he can now upgrade your MINI (or SAAB) through remapping. He also handled the fitting of a new larger intercooler, sports catalytic exhaust and a vastly improved inlet system from Alta. I'd recommend him for all SAAB and MINI work. With years of experience he really knows what he's doing.

My partners Saab 9-5 & my 9-3 both went wrong a day after each other. 2 August tried to contact CarTech as 9 miles away from us & reviews were good. Could not get through on phone. Left details numerous times on answer machine for a call back. No reply. Sent email - No reply. Assumed they must be really busy as were other Saab mechanics in the area. Earliest date from another garage for the 9-3 is 25th August. 9-5 sorted by Mr Unique
