We had take away. Vegan burger was delicious. Really could not tell the difference in bun or cheese. My sister enjoyed her 1/4 pounder burger too.

Chips not cooked enough & cold, always the same everytime we visit. Not the only person to raise this issue as in previous reviews as well. An online order was read to staff member cooking the chips whilst In the shop tonight asking if they could have there chips well done. His response was NO. Haddock was also too greasy. Would prefer to wait longer and have properly cooked chips rather than sloppy offerings. No problem with service but not anything to rave about.

Been here a few times now. Consistently good cod and chips with large portions. I think it’s as good a local chippy as any others I’ve been to and better than some. Never had a problem with ordering or the queue.

The young lady who served me was very polite and courteous and faultless. On arriving home, when I opened my lunch, nearly every chip had black marks which where part of the potato. The chips were not completely cooked. The battered sausage was cooked perfectly.

Do not go here. I went in and ordered a large chips. They have raised the price to £3.85 from £3.65 a couple of weeks ago but to top it off they are also using smaller boxes that the large chips come in so you are basically paying a large price for a small chips. Do your selves a favour and travel 5 minutes up the road to Writtle chip shop where they will do you a large for £3.20 and you’ll find they are better quality of chips and you actually get what you paid for. Will not be using again...
