Laurel Bank5 StarI had three new stained glass windows made and installed by Clearview Glass and Glazing this week, the first was a completely new window on my landing, created matching the pattern of existing windows, the other two were windows created , using the existing stained glass, refurbished and encased in double glazing and fitted into a new frame the overall result is a great improvement in my property. The job was carried out in a very professional and timely manner by Dave, Carl and Peter leaving my property clean and tidy upon completion.
I was most impressed by the way they completed the whole job and I would not hesitate to recommend the firm to anyone considering new windows or doors as they do not just supply and fit they make suggestions on various aspects of the job bringing their vast experience to bear.Friday 9th September 2022
Dave Noble5 StarWe wanted to replace our old double glazed windows with a new thermally efficient triple glazed system. In a lot of instances it's about way more than just choosing a more efficient piece of glass with an existing double glazed uPVC and expecting the window to miraculously improve how efficient it is. So many installers use the same plastic for triple as they do double, and then maintain there's only a marginal improvement in thermal efficiency that doesn't justify going to triple glazing. Sadly guys that's not true; that decision is more about them making a decent profit than delivering you a thermally efficient window. Find a better uPVC manufacturer, make sure you work with the right glass supplier and use the 'available to all' efficiency calculator to work out what U values you can achieve. Use as much glass and as few openings as possible and find an installer like Clearview who will work with you toward the goal you want to achieve. The moment I met Dave and realised that both he and Carl would be installing the windows and not just selling me how great they were as a company, I knew they would be a company I could work with. I should add they weren't alone, there are some good companies out there and an awful lot of very poor ones, but there are very few who can both install a great system and at a reasonable cost. We went uPVC instead of timber because today there's very little single use plastic in a window system that lasts for 10-15 years. Despite some late changes and some finish details I changed at the last minute, Dave and Carl were superb, were friendly and installed something that was both thermally efficient and aesthetically pleasing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone... The Deceuninck system with Planitherm Total+ gave us a 0.9 U value. We could've paid more than twice as much to get 0.8 or gone with double glazing at 1.1 or 1.2, but in the end we made a good compromise decision on cost versus thermal efficiency giving us a future proofed window system at a cost we can live with...Sunday 31st July 2022

From start to finish every member of the team has been professional, reliable, friendly and the finished job has been completed to a very high standard. It was just what we wanted! We really appreciated that everywhere was left clean and tidy after the days work and when a slight adjustment was requested they came to sort it the following day.
We have no hesitation in highly recommending Clearview Glass & Glazing.
