We were told the kitchen was understaffed and was operating a reduced menu but the girl behind the bar pulled some strings to get us our original food choice - above and beyond! Adam Brown4 StarPub in a lovely setting. The Duke and Rye is in an old church opposite Chichester Cathedral. The bar is a standard bar with a pretty average menu (not putting it down at all, if you want Pub Grub, this place is perfect. But don't come if you are after a gastro-pub)
The staff where all very friendly and the place is dog friendly. But the real star is the building with many of the original features left or reinstated. A wonderful and often quiet place for a drink or a meal.Friday 3rd June 2022
Adam Sewell4 StarFascinating old church that has been nicely converted into this pub. When I visited mid-afternoon, it was pretty quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful.
There is a pool table, quiz machine and TV. Imagine it gets pretty busy in the evening but nice place for a mid afternoon drink.Saturday 16th April 2022
