Had used them for years to do landlord safety checks every 6 months on all the rental properties in my portfolio, and had no complaints (aside from them being slightly on the pricey side but that's not a big problem). Then yesterday, one of their guys (also one of the owners of the company apparently) turned up to do a pre-booked FRA for me, and whilst there, saw another company doing the fire panel safety check. (I'd asked ECF to do this too but the lady explained they couldn't get an engineer out to me on the same day I was in town). Upon seeing this other company there, the guy got upset and said that if I was going to use another company, then he didn't want to do the FRA. He said they "normally do these things as a package" and even when I explained that I was only in town on this one day, and ECF didn't have anyone available on that day, he told me I should have waited until they could send someone round, (meaning I would need to make a special trip). I told him I had 6 properties with ECF and he was being unprofessional, like he was was telling me off for catching me cheating on him or something, and his response was to ask me to name all the properties in my portfolio, like he wanted to try to catch me out! He ended up just walking out! I think this was incredibly bad customer service. I later called the office and spoke to the same guy, and instead of back-tracking or apologising, he got into another argument with me on the phone. I explained that I was going to switch to A1 Fire & Security for all my properties from now on, and then of course he started bad-mouthing them ("they're a one-man band, we're the only one with all the memberships and accreditations etc") before claiming he had never heard of them when I asked if he knew they didn't have the accreditations. All very bizarre but anyway, they have lost me as a client now.

Cannot recommend the service and ongoing care of service of East Coatst Fire Services highly enough. Especially Dan who goes out of his way to ensure that our needs have been catered for. Will continue to use East Coast fire as they are second to none. GREAT JOB !!

My company has used East Coast Fire for our Fire Detection and Alarms, Fire Fighting Equipment and CCTV for many years at all our business premises (and home). We have recently added Security Alarms etc to this. Always great service and a fair price.

The ECFS team recently conducted a series of Fire Extinguisher training sessions related to small catering fryers. This training was crucial for our team, as we were aware of their purpose, but we felt that our confidence level was low in using this level of equipment. Working with ECFS were great at modelling the training to the relevant information related to our industry. This was key in ensuring that our team were prepared for the future. The highlight of the session was tackling a small-simulated controlled fire. Putting in to practice the information, we had learnt. Each member of the team was able, to experience using an extinguisher and as a group; we learnt from each other’s experience. The team really benefited from this training and the ECFS team were quick to respond to queries prior to the event and meeting our onsite safety requirements. Thank you and I look forward to working with you in the future.
