I am a Lancaster based Personal Trainer with over 10 years experience in Fitness.  I have competed in Men's Physique which taught me the dedication required and the intricacies of how the human body adapts and changes. After the arrival of my children I decided to switch focus from bodybuilding and move towards strength and functional training, I now compete in Strongman.  This fitted in with my now more busy life.  Since then I have not looked back and I want to pass on my wealth of knowledge and experience to as many people as possible. I hopes that my passion becomes contagious and that my clients not only achieve their desired physique; but adapt their lifestyle to maintain it in the long term. The training takes place in small groups of up to 5 people.  With such a small group size it has the feel of personal training without the cost.  The groups  are also ideal if you sometimes lack motivation as you will be part of a team with a shared goal. It's 2022 STRONG IS THE NEW SKINNY, lifting weights will not make the female body neither "bulky" nor "manly". Strength and conditioning training creates the physique you have always wanted when attending previous cardio based classes. It is the most efficient way to lose fat and improve muscle tone. Superb strength studio. Superb coach. Superb community and friends. I can't overstate that becoming a member and coming to train 3 times a week in the group sessions has made life better.  I feel really proud of what you're helping me achieve, really grateful and I really, really enjoy it. I would never normally consider myself a "gym" person but this is a totally different experience. I wanted to get stronger and gain muscle.  I had a background in endurance sports having completed an Ironman but had never properly lifted weights.  Anthony taught me proper technique and kept correcting any minor errors throughout the programme to help avoid injuries. He also gave me advice on nutrition to help me obtain my goals.  My lifts have kept on increasing and my wife is commenting on my new muscles!! I would strongly recommend him.

Really fun small group training focusing on lifting weights to get stronger and finishing with a conditioning circuit. All adapted to suit everyone so don't worry about starting out. I'm now in week 4, loving it and can tell a difference already with my fitness. Anthony really focuses on peoples technique with the weights which is so important in getting stronger.

I have never been into fitness and always thought going to the gym was very daunting. I started Excel around a month ago and I am absolutely loving it and I am now working up to 4 sessions a week. The small groups are fantastic and everybody is so friendly and supportive. The sessions are split into two, firstly, weight training focusing on technique and you really feel an improvement with weight being added each session. Secondly, conditioning, these exercises are changed up each sessions and really make you push yourself! Anthony is fantastic, he is so knowledgeable and is so easy to get along with. Looking forward to the rest of my fitness journey with Excel. It's 5 stars from me :D
