Many visits to the Gala over the years but first time with the seats out for a gig. Half Man Half Biscuit. People from all over the country enjoying our little city. Staff as friendly as ever, and easy access into and out of the theatre. Hopefully get to see more bands in this venue now.

The service could have been a lot better, but what to expect when Covid is affecting everyone. People were evidently stressed, including the staff, so I really could not hold a grudge, I think they tried their best.

Have seen some great acts here most recent being Josh Widdecombe last night who was hilarious. Rich Hall and his brand of music and humour also memorable. They often have one man shows which are really intimate and take Q and As from audiences Tony Robinson and Jay Rayner were particularly good. Cinema down in the bowels so mum in law refuses to go (!😂) but there is a lift if needed. Bar can get very busy so either pre order or be early.

I went here to see a concert by students from New College. The theatre is intimate, modern and comfortable with a large stage. There is a big bar area with plenty of seating.
