Employed Richard Smith rather than someone cheaper, my husband has known 'Mesh' for a number of years. Richard installed an Indian stone patio. Immediately the resin turned black, had to be redone. I obtained replacement resin for him, but he failed to compact it properly & it is now crumbling. Pointing in step cracked & fell out. Less than two years after being done four stone slabs are loose as not been laid on a full bed of mortar, PVA not used. I kindly let Richard have half a pallet or so of Indian Stone to use on his next job. However to not even reply to me with a quick text or call after 6 months especially as he knows how proud I was of the patio is DISGUSTING. P.S I have since found out he won't put right our patio because I didn't also give him two spare tubs of resin, which I sourced & chose to keep. I'd heard he'd dissolved the company, but even so a decent man would correct his mistakes🤔 He told me "when a stone patio is done properly it will last for many years", I said "50 years?" he said "yes as it's good thick stone". My patio lifting after 2 years is ridiculous. Hardly a surprise he has had to dissolve his business, as comes across as petty & unprofessional. To not paste the rear of each slab with pva so it bond's to the mortar is a basic schoolboy error. He also said he is under no obligation as company dissolved; clearly he doesn't understand 'moral' obligation!!
