Simon Webb5 StarWow!!! What a change in this pub since the new manager took over!! Ian is hugely welcoming when you walk in the pub, and Laura has finally bough the stock of Gins and spirits into the 21st century!!
Nothing is too much trouble!
"Can we have the jukebox turned up??" Of Course!
"Can My dog come in?" Absolutely, and here's a little treat for them.
And I think biggest of all, we are finally allowed in the Lounge on a Saturday night!! No longer is it a secret masonic club, only the elite are allowed into!!!

Sue Wood1 StarA group of us visited this pub on a Saturday night. We chose a table where we could sit together but we told loudly and quite rudely that we were in ' someone else's seat' . We moved elsewhere but for the next hour we were stared at and talked about quite obviously. It is clearly a locals' pub and strangers are not welcome. Choice of beers was very limited. Ladies toilets were okay but the Mens toilets weren't very clean, according to the men in our group. Not very impressed.Monday 30th May 2022

When I heard the old owners were stepping away, I thought it only fair I gave the pub a second chance, as stated before the staff, management and people in the pub were fine, just the owners who where pushing people away!!
I'm very glad I went back, welcomed in like an old friend, so many familiar faces who had also been enticed back. Finally a decent selection of drinks, not just the same old ales week in week out, and something other than house gin or Gordon's for my wife to enjoy!!Sunday 10th April 2022
