Timeline - Friday 15.04.2022. Took car in via RAC. - Tuesday 19.04.2022. I called to check the status of car at 15:00. I was told they would have a look at it. - Wednesday 20.04.2022. I called and was told the part had been ordered and if it came in that day they may have a chance to install it. I was also told that I would be looking at an estimate cost of £200 - 250. - Thursday 21.04.2022. I was told the part had come in and they would give me a call when it is installed. I asked if the part would be installed that day and I was rudely told they didn’t know. - Friday 22.04.2022. I called at 11:08 to check the status of the car. It had not been repaired, but it should be completed that day. At 17:29 I called again to check the status of the car and I was told that the part had been installed and they were testing the car and I would receive a call in about 15 minutes. I did NOT receive a call. - Saturday 23.04.2022. Hillcroft called me at 09:44 to inform me that my car was ready to pickup. So in conclusion, it took Hillcroft 8 days to return my car to me. I only needed a £64 Master Cylinder part and it took 8 days to get my car back. I would say the communication and customer service is substandard . I have never in my lifetime had a car repair take this long for such a readily available part. I do not want to hear any excuses from them. I will be informing RAC on my dissatisfaction, you can believe that! I cannot in good faith recommend this garage to anyone.

I've used Hillcroft Garage for MOT tests for several years. Andrew, Jason and the team are friendly, courteous and helpful. MOT fee is competitive, too.

I recently took my car to have its Mot, the staff were very polite and professional, called me as soon as it was ready. The mot tester put my bumper back into place for me as well. Very happy. Would recommend and use again .
