Welcome to Jake Brown Landscapes & Groundwork Jake Brown Landscapes & Groundwork was established in November 1988 in Stafford and was originally set up as garden maintenance & landscape company by me, Jake Brown. I originally trained as a kerb layer/road builder and built up a wealth of experience in all aspects of groundwork and hard landscaping. I then had the fortune to subcontract to some major construction firms, like P.E.C pipeline contractors, Laing O'Rourke, Murphy’s, and Mowlem construction. As the years progressed, we won various contracts in the landscape industry, and as the business progressed, we won some major contracts, installing the centre reservation barriers on the new M40 motorway. This was the start to steer the business down the groundworks route as we won more and more contracts on new housing estates and highways. Eventually, the garden maintenance side of the business was sold in 1993 and the groundworks side of the business went from strength to strength. The following year, in 1994, we were delighted to be asked to go on the Marley Professional Pavers register and that really boosted the business. As the years went by, we diverted into mainly domestic driveway paving. Our business has won many awards throughout the years. In 2002, we were absolutely astounded when we picked up our first award for ‘Regional patio of the year’ from Tarmac Top Pave and in 2005 we then became Brett approved installers and won a further 11 awards for our block paved patios and driveways. My son, William, joined the business in 2009, to take over the day-to-day operation of the groundworks and excavations side of the business. In 2014, we became Brett landscapes premier approved installers. At the at the Brett awards ceremony in London, we were absolutely astounded again when we won national installers of the year 2018. Since then, we have continued to install many fantastic drives and patios in the Staffordshire region. In 2023 we invited to go on the Bradstone approved assured register. This now enables us to offer a much vaster variety of paving to our all our customers in and around Stafford.
