Paid £4.5k for work that was never completed: waited for over a year. Didn’t sign off my new build (included in paid invoices). He constantly ghosted us: calls and texts ignored. Placed consumer unit exactly where I asked him not to, and much too high to comply with building regs. Left with lights not working, switch missing, earth lead dangling, no certificate. Took to small claims court and he paid up straight away. Reported to trading standards.
