Alastair shows a passion and enthusiasm for his work that is clearly evident in the final product of our Heat Pump installation. He has a tremendous eye for detail and ensured we had an installation that was tailored exactly to our needs. Through the RHI we will also recoup over 100% of our initial outlay for the system! As a building surveyor I’ve witnessed several poor air source heat pump installations, so for my own property I needed an installer I could completely trust. Mclean Electrical is an approved installer for both Grant and Mitsubishi ASHPs. I was very impressed with Alastair’s passion and commitment at the survey stage to undertake the work not only strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification, but also his desire to challenge the existing heating installation to ensure everything works properly with the new equipment. My trust in Mclean Electrical has been fully rewarded. The installation has been extremely well designed and executed, and importantly for the amount originally quoted, even though a few extras in my view could have been charged. My RHI grant was approved within minutes of submitting the commissioning form and invoice, which allows me to recover around 75% of the cost. Overall an excellent job from start to finish.

Absolutely superb. He actually enjoys learning about unfamiliar (electric) heating systems and sorting out anarchic electrical systems. He has installed a much more user friendly heating control system for my electric storage boiler, underfloor heating and a new direct immersion heater, and will be including a zoned system for the whole house, all operated by one gizmo. Friendly, patient and keen to go the extra mile. Worth every penny because his environmental credentials fit in with my philosophy.
