Disgraceful tradesman. After making countless, unrequested visits to my property he is now attempting to charge for these visits, despite the fact he has done no work. He has taken a substantial deposit for work he is now refusing to do and refusing to return said deposit. Thoroughly disgusted UPDATE. Court ordered he return our substantial deposit and pay all costs. Thank heavens for justice! Advice- do not use this man unless you want to be totally ripped off.

I paid Mr Tully a 60% deposit on 20th May 2017. Today, 24th July 2017, he has refused to provide a date for works to start until I pay an "additional" invoice that he has raised without my knowledge or agreement. He has held more than £2000 of my money for 2 months and is now demanding extra payments. Do not trust this business with your money, you will be disappointed. I will now be forced to take Mr Tully through the small claims court to recoup my losses. Update. On 8th January 2018 In the County Court, Mr Tully was ordered to repay the money that he had kept together with costs. His counter claim for spurious costs was dismissed. Advice:- 1) Do not pay deposits. Reputable contractors have trade accounts that they pay at least 30 days in arrears and so have no need for a deposit. 2) Get at least 3 quotes. Mr Tully was more than 30% more expensive than the contractor who did the work. He had also over-specified the work required. 3)If he quotes for materials, check his prices as he up-lifts by more than 100%. 4) I would strongly advise you to find a different electrician. I should not have had to take Mr Tully to court to get my deposit repaid. Consumer law is clear and Mr Tully is fully aware of it.
