Came to plaster my kids bedroom and i couldnt find faults with them so i got them to come and do more of my plastering works im very pleased with them and would always recommend to my family and friends

Michael visited us around early June time and ran through our job with us. We was then put in his diary for early July to begin work on our property. on the 6th July Michael never turned up as agreed to start our work and we had no communication from him until mid July which he explained he had been in hospital and was unable to contact us. We had to then wait another 4 weeks for the work to begin using a different contractor. The work the contractor carried out was to a terrible standard and had Michael not let us down we wouldnt be left with walls that are in worse condition than what we began with. I feel that if Michael had turned up as agreed we wouldnt of been left with a poor standard finish which we now have to live with until we save again to have them re plastered. I hope you are fully recovered now but I feel that you are at fault for the poor workmanship we have had to live with.

We had a nightmare using MG Plastering for a reskimming of our home office, starting in Jan 2020, ending up hundreds of pounds out of pocket and having to work from an unfinished room for months. There was firstly a rescheduling of the booked date which we understand can happen. The chap who was sent (Gordon) although friendly and pleasant, did what we can only conclude was a really poor job. When painted two weeks later, the paint and plaster came off the walls. We contacted MG Plastering and they did send Gordon back, who used a different pva the second time. However, it came out in loads of air bubbles. Gordon said he would let it set and come back the next day to sort it out, leaving with our front door key. He then went AWOL and we had no contact for a few days. When we reached him he said he'd unfortunately been in hospital but someone called Ian was going to come at the weekend to sort it. Then, no one came and we still didn't have our key which was obviously a security concern. When I called Michael he did then come and remove dust sheets and do some cursory sanding and return the key, but the wall was still not a good finish and worse than it was to begin with (I was at work so only saw after he'd left). When our decorator came again he too was not impressed by the finish but we decided to just go ahead rather than have more fuss. However on this occasion the ceiling sagged down upon painting! It transpired the ceiling should have been plasterboarded as it was lath and plaster. We had no reply from MG Plastering despite calls, texts and email to Michael. In the end we had to get a different company to plasterboard the ceiling leaving us out of pocket. The decorator also lost 2 days of work through it and although kindly didnt charge, this impacted him too (we did tip him extra but it doesn't reflect the full costs). While I have been shocked by the poor work by MG Plastering (especially given so many positive reviews here), the biggest complaint is the lack of communication at various stages of this, especially when Gordon was in hospital and when the ceiling sagged (no replies since this occurred).

The plasterer (Ron) turned my dodgy DIY plaster boarding into a quality finish, my kitchen looks truly amazing and for a reasonable price too. This was done during the Covid-19 outbreak and all social distancing measures were observed from the quotation phase to the final inspection. I would use these guys again.
