Our music teachers work with both adults and children (age 4+). The music school opens at around 2.30pm on weekdays and closes at 9pm, we are also open at the weekends to offer tuition, our aim is to be available whenever is most convenient for our clients.
Our music lessons take place in the beautiful Morningside neighbourhood of Edinburgh, and our building just steps away from several major bus routes and just next door to South Morningside Primary School. Feel free to give us a call to speak with one of our friendly instrumental teachers who will be more than happy to help with organising a music lesson for you or your child.
You are never too old to learn. Due to our opening hours, we actually teach more adults now than children! Learning to sing, strumming the guitar, practising the trumpet or jamming on the drums, it is for everyone, not just kids.

Ignazio Maria Viola5 StarI am delighted to share my feedback on the School. I take plano lesson and my daughter takes both piano and ukulele lessons. We both love it tremendously. In my case, I am very pleased to have Paul Boyd as teacher. He is truly passionate about music and he conveys his passion while teaching. He is always available, for instance by email, or to reschedule a lesson, and always supportive of my progress (even when limited). I believe this School is a rare gem and I could not recommend it more strongly.Friday 13th May 2022

Watson Roofing5 StarWe tried a few different guitar teachers in Edinburgh for our two boys and finally settled with Paul at Morningside School of Music because he was down to earth, made learning the guitar fun and was incredibly professional. He helped both of them get through their grades and they always wanted to go to the guitar classes, they really enjoy playing now and have their guitars out all the time, before, we had to hassle them to practice, not now. Catriona Morrison5 StarI've been getting piano lessons from Briony at Morningside School of Music for the last half a year after not having played properly for several years. She is a really fantastic teacher, helping me get confidence back at the piano and helping teach a number of great pieces across a range of styles, especially love the jazzy Christmas medley she sourced. She's really lovely and patient which puts you at ease and knows exactly where and what you need to practice to get the piece up to standard. Also happy to tell you when you haven't been practicing which I really need! The school as well is great, the flexible pay-as-you-go lessons are really handy when trying to schedule around hectic life. Highly recommended!Friday 7th January 2022
Emma-Louise Colvin5 StarProf. Paul & staff have been utterly fantastic with my 4 boys and husband these past 5yrs. They instil a warm, calm yet happy atmosphere to go with their expertise. It rubs off on our boys and they thoroughly look forward to their classes each wk.
My son is now applying to university to pursue a career in Music. Prof Paul et al have gone above and beyond to help him in an environment of relaxation, fun and knowledge.
