We care for and support elderly member over our community over 65 years of age, who live with dementia. We offer a fully inclusive service that can meet a wide variety of needs for example assisting with a bath, managing medication, assistance with meals and finding you fun ways to spend your day! Oakwood is our residents home and we must respect at all times. Our staff view themselves as guests in our residents home and visitors are welcome at any time. Some of our residents are quite frail and like to rest in the evening, so we ask that visitors do not come too late.

We as a family have travelled a very emotional journey with our Dad this year, not being in good health and needing to be cared for and leaving his home of 42 years. Due to the current pandemic it was extremely difficult to organise somewhere for him, not being able to go along and see a potential home and get a feel for what we could expect. Oakwood has been wonderful from the start. Communication between us and the team at Oakwood has been brilliant, especially Amanda, everything we've asked about has been sorted that very day and have worked with us to make sure our Dad is as comfortable as possible. Nothing is too much trouble. Sad we can't see Dad at the moment, or meet the people caring for him, but we're happy in the knowledge that they are caring, patient people looking after a much loved, much missed member of our family. Thank you all.

This is one of the best homes in the area. We visited a number of homes before we placed our relative into this wonderful home. Our aunt gained weight, improved in health and the whole family was really pleased with what had been done for her. I would urge anyone reading this to go and visit for yourself and not to be influenced by the negative ratings given by others. The staff team and the management are warm and welcoming at all times. It is very clear that all that reside at this home are well cared for and content there. A big thank you to all at Oakwood for providing such a great experience for our late aunt.

come to know one of the staff working there had come off without a valid good reason. Management were unprofessional towards her and left her a leaving notice without a proper explanation. Either get a new manager or sort your management out. 😡

Used to have a beautiful Oak tree in the front garden. We assume it will change its name to "massacred oakwood" Real shame someone decided to remove a tree that was 100's of years old for no good reason at all! ***Additional. Stupid reply from Oakwood that it was to do with parking....How many cars parked on the rasied lawn area 12" above the car park level that is still there minus one beautiful oak tree that had stood there for 100's of years....
