Fish was pretty good...portion size was good...curry sauce was ok....but the big problem was the chips...they were terrible... can't knock the portion size...but chips were horrible....they had only just opened, so would expect everything to be nice and fresh... disappointing

BEST CHIP SHOP EVER! Okay let me explain why you should go here and nowhere else! The staff are amazing, she is so friendly and we always chat for a little but about random things! She always smiles and is so friendly! The guy behind the grill is also really nice and one of the best chip shop chefs I know! Honestly just great people! First thing The chips! THE CHIPS! They are so much better then the rest of Southampton and I mean that! I spoke with the owners and they explained they more for the potatoes and take less profit to make quality food, they taste so much better and are the prefect English cut chip! Hands down best chips I have ever had! They make the curry sauce from scratch! Like where else does that? It's so good, like Gordon Ramsey would chug it down! The pea fritters are made fresh and from scratch with a light batter, they are so good, full of flavour and perfect! The sausages are something that they also spend more money on then most places to make sure the taste and quality is perfect, the batter is so thin a just prefect, I can't fault it at all! Batter on or off it's quality! The fish is perfectly cooked each time! It's fresh and bettered in front of you, it's thin light and crispy, something a lot of other fish and chip shops don't ever get right! I don't order fish much but when I do I only order from here! My personal order from here is Curry sauce, Pea fritter, battered large sausage and a large portion of chips, it's around £7 from my memory and that meal is sure to be the best thing you will have from any chip shop! The only downside is they don't cater to Celiac (Gluten Free) But that is only for my mum, I don't have that issue and I love this place! I hate to go anywhere else! Trust me order from here! Also a note to the owners, I am the fat guy with a ginger beard that always walks by with his mum :P Please never go anywhere you guys are my go to chip shop, please never change!
