Lovely building on every single floor and room, the decor is honestly something to admire just like the staff and food. Although it can be quite busy and sometimes booked out the staff do their best to keep ontop of everything, any mistakes are rectified as soon as possible and if you order a lot of dishes it's a constant flux of food being brought to your table, each dish is well made and full of varied flavours. Honestly it's a great spot to dine and enjoy company with a partner or friends, good drinks are also available with quite a nice variety, though not many ciders there is a lot of cocktails and other drinks to enjoy. I'd definitely return.

No bread, no beef, no lamb, no chicken, no service! I went to Plau just the other week and the restaurant seems to have declined dramatically in just a few short months, the menu was significantly smaller with no appetising vegetable dishes and what seemed like half the menu was unavailable. Prices have also increased significantly and are above that of other peer restaurants. The only meat dish that was available was pork, a shocking failure to stock the necessary ingredients and I visited on a weekday night so not particularly busy either. But nonetheless we had to wait a considerable amount of time to have our orders taken. One of my previously favourite restaurants has become one I wouldn't recommend after this experience.

The Plau is an amazing hidden gem in Preston. The service is always ~immaculate~, very warm and friendly staff that give excellent service every time. Highly recommend!

I have to say I was disappointed think this establishment cruising on past triumphs when first opened. The bar staff were uninterested too busy maintaining their image. I am more than happy to pay for premium drinks if served correctly. It is a shame having to ask for your beer to be served in appropriate glass and then patronised at the same time. Overall its a lovely quirky place bit time to pull your socks up people work hard these days to enjoy a pint.
