The Pow Burn is the name of a tributary of the Tyne, which runs through Northumberland park in North Shields. It has played an important part in the development of town. In many respects it is the reason why the town was able to develop and flourish.

That being said, the Pow Burn is now almost hidden from sight, a vanished feature but one with an important story to tell.

Come on over to The Pow Burn any day of the week and you’ll find friendly staff, a nice pub atmosphere, great value food, and brilliant drinks deals.

Sunday – 12pm-9pm – Food served until 4:30pm

Monday to Thursday – 10am to 9pm – Food served until 6pm

Friday & Saturday – 10am to 11:30pm – Food served until 6pm

Good wholesome "pub grub", very large portions, chicken was delicious. Excellent value, 2 meals for £10.99, will definitely be back.

Nice Town Centre pub with reasonable prices. Very nice inside so would definitely recommend calling in for a drink and giving it a try. I will most certainly be going back.

I with my friend visiting in pub for pint and dinner at Pow Burn. I was eat a gammon and chip and peas really nice 👌 and good staff friendly great job I say 5 stars I want best of pub award in North shields for Pow burn is lovely pub.
