Ordered cakes over a week in advance and asked if it would be ok to collect on a Sunday morning. I was told yes and paid in full. This was for my girls fourth birthday party. I rang twice in the week prior to party to ask if all was going well and cake would be on time? I was told yes and that all was well. However when I went to collect on the Sunday morning there was no cake and I was told it was coming from Bradford and they had just left there! I asked how long it would be and was told an hour. I asked could they deliver to venue as otherwise I would be late. I was told yes thats ok. That was at 11.30. It still upsets me too much to think about it ....cakes arrived at five to four! Five minutes before their party was due to finish! We had let the party continue in the hope that they would actually show up with it "soon"as promised by woman in shop during 7 phonecalls that aftenoon! I was so stressed I did not enjoy myself and we had to pay more for the venue as we were there longer. It took me a month and many many phonecalls and I threat to go to small claims court to get my money back. Little consolation really as the embarrassment I felt to be at the party with friends and family having told them there was going to be these great cakes...and most people had left by the time they turned up.. ...I cried many times when I think how upset my girls were when we had a small chocolate cake to light their candles on and they were told these amazing cakes were coming and they didnt turn up until most of their friends had left. Never ever will I order another cake from this place. Good luck to you if you choose to do so! Cakes were not that great anyway. I was told they were fresh cream. Funny tasting fresh cream if you ask me. Also were not as tall as they tried to make them look as they had covered the tray with "cream" down to the bottom to make them look taller. Not impressed really after tasting it. But they looked lovely and I wanted them to be the centerpiece for the table and that didnt happen. Very disappointed and upset! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
