Good location around the fab monumental areas. The staff are the most friendly people I must have met. The main auditorium is well lit, has multiple access stairs. The atmosphere within is very professional and academic.

This is the second time we have attended an event here. This was a charity dinner previously a wedding. The venue is sumptuous and steeped in history. The library, used as a reception room is straight out of your favourite novel, whether thats Agatha Christie, of Harry Potter with carved spiral staircases to the gallery and secret rooms! The main hall is stunning built in 1841 with amazing ceilings carvings and marble columns. An amazing and impressive venue.

Attended a fabulous birthday party here...it is such a beautiful venue. The different rooms allow for the possibility of each guest having a unique experience. Enjoyed dancing the night away in the main hall, but equally lovely was being able to escape into the calm of the library where you could chat and relax...a chill out room with a difference (I could imagine spending many happy hours browsing there in a different situation). If I'd known about the venue before, it would definitely have been on our wedding venue shortlist.

A beautiful, historic venue with multiple rooms, all of which are stunning. I particularly loved the library! This has to be one of Edinburgh''s best kept secrets and the perfect place for a party or wedding.
