AGMK PORTER1 Star-5 Stars if I could, this is based on my most recent experience - May 17.
A few years ago I had an SPE alarm installed to protect my property, and to be honest at this point I was satisfied with the service SPE provided. Moving forward by two maybe three years, and I've decided to upgrade the system on my house and also have a complete new system installed at the in-laws house. I contacted SPE and asked for a quote for both of these jobs, it was at this point that I started to realise how unprofessional and sloppy SPE have now become as their emails back and forth varied from either an SPE email account or a SPY Alarms email account, a company of whom it seems they have acquired. During the process they started to become extremely unhelpful and deliberately obstructive especially when I challenged the quote and also suggested that I'd had quotes from other local competitors to ensure that their prices were fair and competitive, and that I would consider taking my business elsewhere... This is where SPE started their dirty tricks by refusing to unlock the existing system for alterations unless I paid a stupidly high ransom for the privilege £230+vat ! (Not Happening!) - Due to overpriced quotations and hugely inflated call out / labour fees quoted I did take my business and that of the in-laws elsewhere, and I'm glad I did...
I would not now recommend SPE anymore to anyone after my most recent dealings with this company. That's it I'm afraid - no more of my cash for your company - your loss SPE or SPY Alarms whatever name you wish to use today !!Friday 30th June 2017
Kathleen Kiff1 StarAppalling the attitude of most of the staff in the office when you have to phone with a problem is dismissive and abrupt i have had nothing but trouble with my monitored alarm since installation in 2015, I paid £384 service charge this year ,and after the second engineers visit in less than a week today i still have a problem, but you are frightened to phone in to report it because of the attitude of the female office staff.
