This was the best alteration experience I have ever had. The quality and attentiveness was impeccable. I had a last minute dress order for a wedding that arrived two days before my flight and turned out to be way too big. The team at Stitch and Stitch were able to alter my dress within one day. Since they open at 8am, it was really easy to plan and deal with them and I had my dress by 5pm stress free. I am so pleased and I will recommend them to everyone. Thank again! Sophie x

I wanted to get a a long dress for a wedding shortened and a slit added at a local tailor. The first impression was great and everything seemed professional when I came in to take measurements for the slit. I even showed photos of my expectations. I was told that it will take 10 days to get the dress shortened and a slit to be added and had to pay the full price of 40 pounds in advance. When I picked my dress up today, I noticed that it was only shortened and that the slit has not been added, I called them right away. I was told that they forgot and that I only paid for the dress to be shortened. They suggested to bring it in, but for an extra cost, as I was never charged for a slit. The work they've done looks professional. But if you choose them, make sure to get a detailed confirmation of the work that has been agreed to do at a certain price point. I will get the slit done at another place instead.

I found this shop on the off chance, when looking for somewhere to do major wedding dress alterations. The owner, Rahima is fantastic. Definitely a master in her trade. She's turned my wedding dress into something special, and didn't overcharge me. I'd like to also point out that she was able to do all the alterations I wanted, when two other shops said they couldn't, and one shop wanted to charge three times the price. Lara is fantastic too! A brilliant shop, with talented seamstresses and a happy, can-do attitude! You won't regret choosing this place :)

Brought an heirloom from my grandmother - a handmade silk dress from the '70s. She restored and altered it for a very reasonable price (£80 in total), and offered really helpful advice about what my options were at each point. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I now have a beautiful, wearable dress! Would definitely recommend!

Chose Stitch By Stich based on reviews, very glad I did. They did a superb job repairing one pair and altering another two pairs of trousers. Friendly, efficient service. Highly recommend !
