Adrian Piper5 StarUp from London on holiday and staying in Holtby. Fancied a Chinese, ordered over the phone -lady was friendly and helpful. Said food would be delivered in an hour. Spot on. Food was reasonably priced, delicious and plentiful - sweet & sour chicken - fried rice & a chow mein with chips. I asked if the driver would call me when he got near so I could meet him as we’re staying in a cottage at the back of a bigger house. He called and I met him, lovely man with a big smile 👍👍. A pleasure to do business with this take-away. I will leave menu’s in the cottage and hope they see this revue- thank you 👍👍👍Monday 4th July 2022
H Finns2 StarI can’t understand all these 5* reviews. This takes away is distinctly bland. You could count the king Prawns in the chow mien and it was just beansprouts and noddles, nothing else. Everything else was bland too. Lady was nice on the phone as other reviews have said but we won’t be going back sadly.Saturday 2nd April 2022
Craig VR5 StarLovely staff, the food is consistently delicious, and I don't have to wait very long for deliveries (roughly 40 minutes if they're busy - which they always are).
I'm a creature of habit and I'll either have chicken fried rice with prawn crackers, or I'll have Singapore style vermicelli, salt and chili spare ribs, spring rolls, prawn toast.
The noodles are cooked perfectly, and there's just enough (not too much) chili in the vermicelli. The chicken, beef and prawns are lovely and well cooked as well.
I do also like their sweet and sour ribs.
I haven't tried anything else on their menu, but I should.
For me, it's the best Chinese take-away in York. It's my "go to" :DWednesday 26th January 2022
Devendra Kankonkar4 StarTried Prawn fried rice, very nice, sweet corn soup, perfect blend, lemon chicken accompanied by boiled rice, gravy sweeter then expected but chicken was perfect, chicken satay, again sweeter then expected & chicken skewers which came as a gravy dish not at all to our expectations as we were expecting a dry dish. Also tried prawn curry which was accompanied by boiled rice with good portions for two.Saturday 25th December 2021
