We stumbled across this lovely pub during our first day in Ratho and we were blown away by the quality of the food. I believe they have 2 menus and on our first day we had the more ‘pub food’ menu, but it truly was delicious. We had fish and chips (HIGHLY recommend this) and my boyfriend had the beef burger. We loved it so much, so decided to go back for our final night. This time we had the fine dining menu and, wow, it was so divine. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating too. I definitely recommend a visit here.

I visited this restaurant quite late on and the staff were very accommodating so that was good staff were friendly and helpful. I had beef croquettes for starter with a mint dip and it was gorgeous. Where we sat had a nice feel to it it was a lovely evening. The only downside is it does not live up to its high price tag for food I have had meals out for half the price and much better and I like to leave a tip based on my experience from how I am welcomed to when I settle my bill and leave **service charge** that big no from me unfortunately..

The Staff were very helpful, and when our taxi failed to show up, took matters in hand and got us to the airport on time. Our dinner the night before was wonderful, perfectly prepared, just the right amount after a long day of travel. Our room was comfortable and quiet. All well worth our short time we had.

Absolutely incredible! I would give more stars if I could. My husband and I stayed in a room at the inn and has dinner and breakfast. The room was the favorite one we stayed in, and during our trip we stayed in three other hotels (Edinburgh and Isle of Skye). The room was lovely, had closet space, a great bathroom, and was beautiful with a great view of the street and bridge below. The staff were so kind- from the bartender to the waitress to the person who checked us in- everyone had a smile and was so helpful. Dinner was incredible. We asked for drink recommendations and they were all SO good and we got a starter, entrees, and a dessert and all were amazing. Breakfast was included with our room and had some great options. I opted for some simple sourdough toast and fried eggs and it was delicious. I could not recommend this inn/restaurant enough!

My wife & I had an evening meal here with a friend and really enjoyed the whole experience. The menu isn't enormous but includes plenty of interesting and creative options. The wine list was pretty comprehensive and they have a full range of other drinks. The staff were friendly and took the trouble to provide full details of each dish. We were there during the weekend when a top-quality menu is offered - with prices to match, but we thought it well worthwhile. The food was excellent with modest but sufficient portions. Tables were well spread and the room wasn't crowded but had good ventilation. I hope to return in the not too distant future!
