My mum and I visited the Crown today 22/4. we have been lots of times before. Obviously enjoy going there. Bar staff amazing, place comfortable, customers lovely. Unfortunately, however, that has all been altered by today’s experience. I did recognise the band had arrived, as we were sat by the side door. Suddenly, this small man, with an Orange tan approached and said “You need to move “ to which I responded “Why?” He said “We need to set up” I said “So why do you have to be so rude?” His response: “I need to earn a living” “So just shift “ So to the Crown pub, if you want your pub to be emptied, My advice is employ Soul Shop DJ as bouncers.

The Crown is piece of history in the middle of Heaton Moor . Good prices on the beer and great lovely atmosphere. Local celebrities such as the Reynolds family were in attendance talking to the local. Bar served till 12 and good fun.

The Crown does serve hot drinks however when I went inside to ask if they did decaf tea or coffee the lady behind the bar said no sorry we don't. I know it's a pub but if there serving tea and coffee you would expect them to offer decaf options as well. I can only have decaf Unfortunately so wasn't able to have a drink. I was left a bit disappointed.

Decent is the Crown. Good pub with a relaxed vibe, staff have always been friendly, after my second visit staff remembered my face and knew my drink. Plenty of seating around the pub. Crown show all the major sports events from football, rugby and boxing! live bands turn up at weekends. What I like is that the Crown operate a zero tolerance policy for bad behaviour, idiots get slung or refused to be served, no questions asked. The pub do a half decent selection of cask ale. They can get a pizza in as well for food offering which is stone oven cooked tbf!, done offsite and brought to you. Its a good crack in here.
