Very good service, very nice team, very reasonably priced for the amount of food we got. It was hot, well-cooked, tasty, and nicely served. It was also very nice for us that the dog was not only accepted, but welcomed. The only change I would like is that the premises smelled of older food, I think because there wasn't a window open. It would be ideal if the atmosphere was a little fresher. I don't set that as any kind of complaint, we would certainly return, it's just a suggestion.

Fabulous food, great atmosphere staff are great but not in your face, excellent knowledge on wines, food portions huge. Fish is in my opinion the best. Definitely highly recommend a visit .

This is my absolute favorite place in Edinburgh. The food is always fantastic and seasonal to a particularly high standard. No matter what I order I'm always delighted with my meal! Staff are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Highly recommend!

Went to the King's Wark for a lovely meal last month, then returned with friends for drinks the other day. They had friendly, prompt service and delicious food. I lost my phone on the second visit and went back to the King's Wark when retracing my steps. They couldn't have been any more helpful! They let me use their phone to contact my family, allowed me to stay until I'd tracked it down (with the offer of a free drink whilst I waited) and when I realised I had also lost my debit card they offered to provide me with the bus fare home. I will definitely be visiting again and telling all my friends to pay back their kindness with a visit!

Traditional and authentic. We stopped here for few drinks on a Saturday afternoon, and the owner was so kind to accommodate us, even if they were very busy and we didn’t have a reservation. After a glance to the menu we decided to share a portion of mussels and the chowder soup. If the drinks with Edinburgh gin were spot on, the food was just incredible! The soup was creamy and perfectly balanced and the fish was super fresh. The whole atmosphere was great, and it really felt to be in an inn by the sea, Italian style. We actually found out that the pub belongs to a very old and historical building, so it actually holds a long tradition. We had great time. Highly recommend it.
