The Lab won the Sunday Mail Pub of the Year Award at the 2010 DRAM Licensed Trade Awards.

The judges said

“This pub’s customers voted it the best in Scotland and the judges would have to agree. It’s not your typical local, but it reflects the changing face of the Scottish pub scene, where you are just as likely to get a good coffee as a good pint of beer. The service is exemplary, the Staff are friendly and there is plenty of banter. This is a local in a city centre. This year it celebrates its 10th birthday, proving that great pubs are here to stay”.

Always busy, so get in early. Excellent Covid measures in place. A limited range of hot food is available for now. Very friendy staff looking after customers.
