Introducing our newest Craft & Jam venue, the 5th member to our Shropshire family. The Smokey Cow Beckbury, previously known as The Seven Stars.

If you like classic homemade meals, authentic smoked pit BBQ and pies in every form; from beef to full of greens to gluten free, if you like them all served with traditional sides (with some funky twists) and good ale in a rustic rural location, then get ready to come and pay us a visit…

Our recently renovated restaurant has undergone a complete transformation and is now light and spacious with a social bar as the center feature and a log burner fire to cosy around in the winter. In addition to delicious food we offer a well stocked bar of ale, lagers, wine and spirits in a comfy country setting.

What a find! Food was fabulous. We had starters and a few main courses and shared across 5 people and only came to c.£15 a head. And we're stuffed! Staff were lovely. We will definitely make a special trip back again.

Visited the Smokey Cow at Beckberry yesterday lunch time and enjoyed a really first class roast dinner. The meal was superb, I am not usually a fan of Sunday roasts but this was something else. The beef was melt in your mouth tender and very generous in quantity. The Smokey Cow pub was extremely pleasant inside and the staff were excellent with first class service. There was lots of seating capacity outside and a pleasant play area safely fenced in for children. Good parking. Toilets well up to standard, really clean and newly decorated. A really great experience

What a lovely experience we had here. The gentleman behind the bar, taking orders, waiting on and clearing tables was lovely, he was very busy but very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was refreshingly different and food was beautiful. We will definitely be returning 😊

We have driven past here for 2 years and said "Looks lovely in there, we must stop one day" every single time... Today was that day and jeez, I wish we hadn't... What an utter disappointment and complete waste of money. - Miserable welcome/Miserable staff. - One table seemed to get table service, we didn't so ended up having to go to the bar. - The place was empty, but we waited over an hour for our food to come out. - Our food sat under a hot plate/lamp for 15 minutes before it got to us. - The half chicken was absolutely drowned in BBQ sauce (the menu doesn't state it has BBQ sauce - if it did I wouldn't have ordered it). It was also full of grease. - The chips were covered in some sort of Cajun salt mix (also not on the menu). They were so salty they were inedible and I usually cover EVERYTHING in salt, so must have been bad. Not even the waiter could tell us what it was other than it was the 'chefs special mix'... Well, he needs to stop making recipes from his salt poisoning cook book. - My wife had a hot dog which she took 2 bites of and left the rest, she couldn't eat her chips either. - We had the Spanish inquisition when I said I wasn't paying for one main which had hardly been touched (to be fair neither mains were touched). They begrudgingly took one main off but the bill still came to over £50 (the 2 children's meals were ok). We would've had a better and more fulfilling meal at a KFC, plus it would've been half the price. This place might be ok for a drink and a plate of chips if you stumble across it on a walk, but for goodness sake don't waste your money going in for a so called meal. I don't think pubs are out the woods yet after COVID, but this one will never come out full stop.
