Nice food. Great service. Good value. Found this little place one afternoon and apart from the obvious down and outs hanging around (further down the Canal on the opposite side to this pub) this could be the best pub location in Lancaster 🙏

Location is everything, staff adequate, although 2 were so pale they looked like they were locked in the basement during non-tourist season. Variety of cask ales, but arrive early as 2 had run out "because it was Sunday". Washrooms need soap to comply with minimum H&S requirements. When this is brought to your attention don't tell the paying punter "a company comes in to take care of that" ... sort it young Morlock. Food was enjoyable, arrived promptly and what I would expect to pay when stinging mummy and daddy, collecting university child in May.

Such a nice little "gastro" pub. Perfectly located (you have to walk to it) on the canal and staff were super friendly. Recommend booking if you want a table inside as it was busy and most tables had been reserved. Plenty of space outside, but it does get busy at times.

Extra post lockdown tables are good. Worried we wouldn't get a table but we got a walk in table without having to wait. Service was a little slow but they were clearly busy. Service was friendly and nice. UPDATE: Lovely friendly staff and my dog loves it. Walking the dog often seems to involve popping into the Witch on the way home. I can't argue with the dog on that one.
